Datashop is a specialized engineering firm. We ship production systems for teams that can't afford hand-wavy AI — AAA game publishers, Crypto infrastructure, regulated fintech, and healthcare.

The two shapes of our work

We've found the engagements we're best at cluster into two shapes. One is org-wide AI transformation: working with executive teams to map where AI actually changes the business, what needs to happen across functions, and what operating model survives the change.

The other is MVP to production scale: picking up an AI system that's working for a few users and building the evaluation, observability, cost, and reliability practices that let it handle real load without cracking. This is the phase most teams are surprised by, and most of what goes wrong happens here.

Who's behind this

Our leadership combines deep institutional experience with modern agility. Partners include a former NVIDIA engineer (15+ years in AI/ML/Stats) and a former McKinsey consultant. The founding partner has 19 years in AI/ML/Stats, starting his career as a quantitative analyst at a hedge fund.
